What is Mediation?
Despite the fact that mediation had its legal basis in legislation in 2013, it has been a well known and commonly practiced amicable dispute resolution method in Anatolia.
In the mediation process, the parties have the opportunity to settle their disputes amicably. This opportunity is one of the most effective dipute resolution methods since there is no losing party, time is saved, costs are minimal, and most importantly, the relations of the parties are not damaged.
The aim in settling a dispute with mediation is to reach the most suitable result for the interests of the both parties and to enable the parties to continue their relations in business life from where they left as if the dispute never happened.
At the end of the mediation process parties are entitled to conclude a binding and enforceable agreement on the settlement of the dispute. Parties resolve their dispute in a cost and time effective way in mediation in comparison with the adjudications before the courts.
